Rules: It all comes with the forum. Follow the rules, and you'll do fine.
1.) Be literate. It applies to correct grammar and punctuation, capitalization, proper spelling, and flowing sentences. A wide-sense of vocabulary isn't required, but it's recommended. Try to check your spelling mistakes before you post if you can. We expect you to be posting around a five paragraph post here as well.
** Regarding the literacy rule; by the term alone we do mean literate. That means, we don't want to see repetition in all of your sentences. In translation, I really don't want to see for your posts:
He looked at the sky. He turned around. He walked forwards. He summoned his Keyblade.
You know what? That's not literacy. That's boring as well. We want to see interesting, creative sentences when you role-play. Use your character's name. Is he a blonde? Use 'The blonde looked up at the twilit sky, pondering on the events that had happened just earlier that day.'
Creativity is key. Use it to your full advantage. If you fail to comply to these guidelines, you will be banned for a day. If it continues; three days. If it goes on excessively, you're banned for a week or more, depending on how serious the situation is. This is a literate site, and I expect you to treat it like one.
2.) Don't act like a total fool in front of everyone. If you're joking around, it's fine. Otherwise, you're just being a total moron. A first good impression is a must.
3.) Yaoi and Yuri is allowed. Both male and female. We don't mind pairings and whatnot, as the both of us roleplay AkuRoku. Just try to keep it understandable, I really couldn't see Kairi with Xemnas.
4.) If a character is taken that you want to role-play with, sorry, you'll just have to deal with it. We will NOT have doubled characters on this forum.
5.) Out of character fighting is strictly prohibited on Static Impulse. If the staff catches you arguing and whatnot on a thread, you will be warned severely and, if it continues, you will be banned for some amount of time, depending on how serious it is. If you argue with the the staff, consider yourself warned. You won't like losing your account. Just be polite; that's all we ask.
6.) If you're going to be away for more than a few days, it would be really nice if you would let us know. Otherwise, we don't know what happened. You could have bailed on us for all we know, thus getting your account deleted. If you don't post in a week without notice, your account will be deleted. Come back with a reasonable excuse, and we'll let you back in. Maybe.
7.) Along with rule seven, reading gore filled posts in such detail that makes us want to vomit would not be fun for any of us. If you must, either role-play over pm with a willing partner, or put [M] (Mature, obviously) in the title of your board; this warns anyone that the board has good chances of having gore-filled posts, or posts with sexual content. Failure to comply will result in swift rebuke.
8.) Alright, for now, and I strain the 'for now' part, everyone is able to have one OC if you already play a cannon character. New characters are nice, but not if it's all we have.
**NOTE;; If you are looking to play an original character, contact Akita in whichever way you please. If not, your application will NOT be accepted by any means.
9.) There is more than one religion out there, we all know that. But if you have a certain grudge for a specific religion, keep it to yourself, thanks. We have no wish to see arguments spill out over religion; it's a touchy subject with some people. Plus, there is no need to bash another for their religion. The same goes with their background, whether they're Portuguese or German or whatever. That's nice, you hate the Portuguese for some reason. Don't mention it. If you don't have something nice to mention, don't say it.
10.) Cursing and swearing and whatnot is allowed, it gives character to your posts. We just don't want to see it in every sentence you type.
11.) To be accepted into the forum, you must get the acceptance from the TWO staff members. Doesn't matter who. Remember that.
12.) On this forum, liquid posting is allowed. To put it frank, and to the point, this means that your character won't be confined to one board and thread until that role-play is finished. Your character(s) can be in multiple role-plays going on at the same time, just as long as it makes sense.
13.) If you have created an account, but not have yet posted within two weeks of activating it, your account will be deleted without hesitation. We emphasize inactivity with harsh consequences. Please be able to post in the Pending Sub-board first within two days of activating your account, please.
14.) I'm sure you know by now that godmodding/powerplaying is strictly prohibited. I cannot stress that enough.
Rules can and may be added as we see fit. Don't worry though, we'll let you know if we do.
** For more information on the first rule, follow this link to one of Roxas' forums' literacy guide.
